JAMIE ANDERSON
Jamie Anderson is a senior member of the technical staff at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory where she is the Vehicle Systems Group Leader in the Mechanical and Instruments Division of Engineering. Jamie earned her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in the joint program in oceanographic engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Her graduate research focused on autonomous underwater vehicle design and control and the hydrodynamics of fish swimming. After joining the Draper technical staff in 1996, Jamie led the design team for the Vorticity Control Unmanned Undersea Vehicle, an autonomous underwater robot that mimics a yellow fin tuna. Currently Jamie works on a variety of robotics research projects for land, air and undersea applications.
