Emmeline Pankhurst was a British Suffrage leader who managed the movement with her daughters Sylvia and Christabel to win the right to vote for women in Great Britain. She was born in Manchester. She studied at the École Normale in Paris in 1898. She married left-wing lawyer Dr. Richard Marsden Pankhurst[4] who worked with her for the equality of women.
