Many auto insurance agents take their education one step further by earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. To earn this special insurance degree, candidates must pass 10 college-level courses, have a minimum of three years of experience in the insurance industry and abide by a strict code of ethics.
