Jason Priestley was on television in a series called "Sister Kate" when a teenaged Tori Spelling first saw him. Tori told her father, TV producer Aaron Spelling, to hire him for the new series he was casting. Priestley won the role of Brandon in Spelling's "Beverly Hills 90210." The prime-time drama was a surpirse hit, and Priestley went from unkown actor to teen icon.
